This impact on the landscape of north Dublin has brought both advantages and disadvantages to this region which the group discovered throughout the day on our fieldtrip. (Dollymount) The area of Dollymount is an unusual case as it has escaped the massive boom in housing developments over the past years as it has an amazing feature called Bull island. This is an island that is connected to the mainland that is barely 200 years old and was formed by the gathering of sand from when the Great South Wall was built in the 1700s.
