This is because of the large amount of cars going through and staying in the town. Cars come from places like Bitterne and Llangefnigugnedd to get to Lyndhurst. The graph shows that it is mainly cars that come into the town, not coaches or pedestrians, which would minimise the pollution and help the environment. As shown on the graph, most people only walk around the town (Points C, D & F), not to it (Points A,B,E,G & H). There is also very little grass area around; it has all been covered with shops.
