Methods: To carry out our investigation the methods used were web-sites databases that gave instructions. To start our first task was to search for the gene and uncover its background information. Then the database entry for HDAC 8 was used to collect the gene's general information, i.e. its proper name and gene family, chromosomal location, and reference mRNA sequence, the "BLAST" program on the NCBI's website was used to provide contrasting mRNA sequences for comparison against the HDAC 8 nucleotide sequence in FASTA format.
