To some, cloning could give back a life. For others it could mean destruction, evil, or power. There are many advantages and disadvantages of cloning. A disadvantage of cloning is that pro-life activists and most religious individuals feel that cloning humans is "Playing God". In my opinion, the real question here is weather we should be ruled by hope or fear. Nearly every technology can be applied for good or evil. Reproductive technologies in general and cloning from somatic cells in particular are no different. We can write policies and laws to encourage "good" uses and discourage "bad" ones, but ultimately there cannot be progress without some risk.
