Unfortunately most of this damage is usually done before it is realised that the memories are false. There are two major cases of false memory syndrome, the first is Eileen Franklin Lipsker. In 1989 Eileen was playing with her daughter, who she said reminded her of her childhood friend, Susan Nason. Susan was murdered at the age of eight, and while playing with her daughter, Eileen suddenly remembered her father, George Franklin killed Susan all those years ago. A few months later Eileen also remembered that her father had committed incest with her, starting when she was three.
