This site displays a paper written on "Cognitive semantics and Deictic Reference" by two university professors, which tries to show how cognitive semantics, and in particular Fauconnier's theory of mental spaces, provides an elegant way of modelling indexical reference. This paper also addresses a second major issue in cognitive semantics, that of how non-linguistic elements are represented in mental spaces.
