A normal Australian football field would look quite a bit different from say a cricket or soccer field because of its irregular shape and the goals are more like four long sticks than a semi-enclosed area for a goalie. The field is oval in shape and is about 180 meters in length, it is shaped much like the ball they use to play. The goal posts on the other hand are placed on either ends of the field.
