... which is encouraging for the UK government. During the 19th century the UK had a booming industrial production i.e. the UK coal industry and the textile industries were peaking. During this period in time the UK manufacturing industry was also thriving with many foreign countries coming to the UK to set up factories to manufacture and produce their goods here. The reason being was that the UK had made strong advances in technology in comparison with many other leading manufacturing countries. This would suggest that the UK were looking to the future and planning ahead for years to come. Below is the table, which outlines the changes in out put for manufacturing and industrial production.
