I believe the ten suspects from economists that Barry lists are valid to an extent, but there are only two, maybe three real issues listed in those ten, and the others just spur from them. What I mean by that is, I feel free trade, capital mobility, trade deficits, and you could even through in downsizing, are all closely related as far as I am concerned, they feed each other. I also feel immigration plays a big part in the serviced based economy because a majority of immigrants are "unskilled" workers and are basically flooding the market. One other thing I would like to point out is the fact that the trade deficit is actually shrinking at this point, but I think when this article was written is was probably growing.
