For my primary research I will carry out a questionnaire and an experiment (taste testing). Questionnaires are the most common method of primary research as they are the easiest to carry out. The advantages of a questionnaire are that detailed information can be gathered and customer's opinions can be obtained. The disadvantages are that it can take a long time and questionnaires can be expensive to carry out. The taste testing will help me find out about the competition for my savoury snack, and can also help me think about the packaging for my product.
