The two separate imagery perspectives were compared through a series of graphs based on the elite performers versus the novice performers. The results showed no significant difference between internal and external imagery. External imagery was only insignificantly more effective than internal imagery, however it was known that mental imagery is far more effective than no imagery at all. The County standard players also proved the difference in imagery effectiveness by contributing a higher average test score than the novice subjects.
