Moreover, in the Global Political environment, the events of 11 September 2001 severely exacerbated the already difficult trading conditions in which much of the global airline industry found itself at that time. Europe's airlines are expected to step up calls for financial help, after the government said it would rush through an emergency aid package to save its crisis-torn industry (web 2).
