There were various ways in which the Suffragette Movement was militant. Women would go around smashing windows of shops in places such as Oxford and Reagent Street. They would come out in the streets in protests, some of which would get extremely bloody and subsequently lead to the arrest and injury of a large number of women. One such example of the militancy was when the women broke the windows of various governmental offices. When Prime Minister Asquith did not keep his promise and ruined the Women's Suffrage Bill, the women decided to take action. On Tuesday 21rst of November, Mrs. Pethick Lawrence led another raid.
