But nowadays, corporal punishment isn't reasonable anymore: bruises and cuts are regular by products of school punishments and more severe injuries are not infrequent. A major obstacle to establishing a ban of corporal punishment is the current popular opinion in Morocco that is legally permissible to apply physical punishment in school.
