However since these efforts, the number of teenagers smoking today has once again taken a rise. Despite the widespread knowledge we have about the dangers of smoking including cancer, emphysema, heart disease, stroke, chronic bronchitis and pregnancy complications, but still smoking among teenagers has increased to the highest level in 16 years. Here are some true facts to show you just how many teenagers are becoming smokers: * Every day 3,000 children and teens become regular smokers * 90% of smokers begin before they are 18 * 36& of students who try smoking become daily smokers * In the last month 30% of high school students have been found smoking during school.
