The term control and modelling is used extensively in ICT and yet when one comes to define it, it develops a vagueness about it's meaning. Initially we looked up the definition in dictionaries and on the Internet, still trying to grasp a little insight as to what this truly meant. My understanding of Control was to dominate, or to instruct a command. This proved to be a semi accurate account of the word. Control technology is the ability to affect the movement of mechanical or electronic devices. The process by which control can be assessed will vary to the system in use.
