During the rise of Medieval Europe, nobles and commoners led completely different lives from one another since wealth was a dominant factor in lifestyle. Noble life was the equivalent to the life of a wealthy person, or celebrity, in today's world. Except in their time, their importance lay in their positions and wealth. Positions ranged from knights at the bottom, all the way to the King and Queen at the top. Imagine living in a huge castle in Europe around the year A.D. 700. One could even place themselves in any year between A.D. 500 to A.D. 1000- the time of the Medieval, or Dark Ages.
