This shows the Christian view that life is created by god and is therefor sacred and holy and because of this man should not destroy it. Not is it simply created by God, it is prized by God whom created It in his own image, and so its destruction is a great insult and disrespect to God. Abortion could therefore be seen as destroying god's creation. This does, however raise the question of when life actually begins. A Christian would use these verses as a guideline for abortion because these verses suggest that if a human was killed, the image of God would also be killed.
