The mind is what thinks, and feels. So they say. It seems that the human is just made up of physical matter. And it also seems that we possess more than just a material body. To anyone who has experienced pleasure, or felt pain, it may seem highly improbable that a few kilograms of matter could constitute a thinking and conscious being. Nevertheless, it is evident that material substances such as alcohol and drugs, and physical effects such as brain damage affect a person's state of mind - therefore, body and mind must be connected.
