Colossians 2:12 significantly holds this view of baptism and the letter to the Ephesians discusses a unity with Christ, prominently in chapter 2 and 4. Indeed, the entire scope of the Pauline letters lends itself to a proclamation of the Christian being one with Christ in both His death and His raising to life. The dichotomy Paul presents is continually evident. The death and the resurrection of the Saviour are both vital in the act of salvation God set out for the Messiah.
