... in the first paragraph. 'That's enough! I said enough!' Even this small sentence tells us that all of Bri's patience is being used elsewhere. These are his first words to the audience, and already the exclamation marks suggest he is frustrated and working on a short fuse. With this sentence I would have the actor begin with a short snap of 'That's enough!' and then raise his voice to emphasise his frustration for 'I said enough!' I think to get across the comic side of it I would have him flail his arms, or clumsily stamp his foot. Something that connects the two sections (direction and monologue) is Bri's constant angry interjections. He will regularly switch from talking quite calmly to roaring at an audience member; 'All the other teachers started opening their doors as if to say there's SOMEBODY TALKING NOW!'
