... while the Brussels Convention is entered into by the Members of the European Union It is very common to find in international contracts of sales certain clauses containing the court's jurisdiction established to choose the competence of the court in case of dispute between the parties. The Brussels Convention was created in order to regulate and equilibrate such freedom of choice given by Article 17 which confers exclusive jurisdiction to the court chosen by the parties, and the several legal terms with which the parties must delimit their contracting clauses regarding jurisdiction.
