Peter Jones writing on the question of Human rights and diverse cultures, puts forward the argument that while human beings are diverse in nature through physical and personal characteristics 'that sort of diversity does not prevent our identifying all those human beings as human and insisting that all are entitled to the same minimum and respect merely as human beings' (Peter Jones, 2001). Here it is argued that while diverse cultures may live very different and often conflicting lives, this does not stop the compatibility of basic human rights which everybody whatever world group they belong deserves to have just for the mere reason they are human.
