It binds all political institutions in the country, including those which enact 'ordinary' law. A written constitution is a series of formal guarantees and declarations collectively compiled into one document which is very easy to access, for example it is possible to obtain a copy from a library or book shop, or even from the Internet. It is also possible to view the original copy in a museum or library, although it may be closely guarded.
