Both epics describe the journey of important men on the sea, which is full of adventures, interactions with strange creatures, unknown lands and unfamiliar behaviours. During their return they are tested both physically with different labours they have to perform and difficulties they have to overcome, and mentally too since their so desirable destination is yet so distant. However similar the two epics may seem at first place, they have many substantial differences as far as their narration of the journey is concerned.
