Throughout this essay I shall try to explore the various manifestations of interconnectedness in the world, noting how globalization affects real people and places. However, referring to the essay question as to whether globalization has changed or not it seems, to me, that it is impossible to measure a nebulous concept like globalization precisely, but increasing interconnectedness is readily apparent in a host of economic, demographic, technological, and cultural changes. There are three broad accounts of the nature and meaning of globalization which can be identified, referred to as the hyperglobalist, the skeptical and the transfomationalist views.
