For Johannesburg to be able to accommodate all this variety of people is a huge responsibility and truly shows that it is a globalised city! Conversely, the summit cost £35 million to host, and with the backdrop of South Africa (with its history and problems) many see this as an over expenditure. In such a country steeped with a tormented history and dreadful famine, the amount of money spent on entertaining the rich delegates and corporate companies may have been seen as a waste.
