Why will my Word document not upload to your system - you say you take .doc? .docx documents (Word documents written and saved using Microsoft Word 7) are currently not supported by our upload system. While this is still the case please save your documents as a Word 97-2003 document (.doc) to enable you to upload it.
If I submit my coursework, will my name be included in the essay or will it be anonymous? If you want your name to be included in your coursework, then please put your name in the document when you submit it. If you do not put your name in the essay, then it will be anonymous.
What kind of essays do you accept? In general, anything that will be of use to our visitors. This usually means that the coursework should be greater than 1200 words in length; that it is grammatically sound; original (All essays are automatically checked to see if they appear elsewhere on the internet. Essays should be your own work, and not taken from another site.); and appropriate (not unnecessarily offensive).
How long does it take to quality check an essay?
If your coursework was submitted for publishing (that is, so that you could either activate or extend an account) then it will be processed within 24 hours. Please remember that you can always get instant access by paying to register/extend your account, should you be in a hurry.
You haven't accepted or rejected my essays, and I have waited more than 24 hours. Why? We normally process all coursework within 24 hours. Most likely, we have processed your essay, but the email sent out to inform you of this has not reached you. You should check the status of your submissions. This should tell you that they have either been accepted, rejected, or have not yet been processed.
If your essay does not appear in the submission status page, then that means that there was an error uploading the essays. You should try again and if it does not work the second time then contact us and give us all the details.
I have submitted my coursework but havent got access to the database - why? All submitted coursework needs to pass our quality control process before it is published and access is given to the database. We aim to complete that quality control process in less than 24hrs. If your work passes quality control then we'll let you know by email, and your account will be immediately activated.
If you need to view our coursework urgently, remember that you can gain instant access by paying from as little as £9.99.
My submitted coursework has passed the quality control process, but I still havent got access - why? To gain initial access to our coursework database you need to submit a minimum of three essays - *all* of which must pass our quality control process before they are published.
If you have only submitted one, then you will need to submit at least two more to gain access. If you have submitted three, but not all of them have passed the quality control process, you will need to submit more documents to make the number of submitted documents that have/can pass the validation process up to a minimum of three. If in doubt about your documents passing, then only submit good ones, and submit more than you need to.
Remember if you want instant access you can get it for as little as £9.99.
You rejected my submission, and it was fine! If this is the case, then please resubmit it. Given that we process hundreds of submissions every day, hopefully you'll understand that on the odd occasion we might get it wrong!
Why do submissions get rejected? Reasons for individual instances vary, but generally involve one or more of the following:
Not long enough
Incompleteness (this can mean missing images, missing bibliography and reference list for uni documents, or simply an unfinished document.)
Inappropriate content
Content has been taken from another site
File may be password protected
File may have been submitted incorrectly
File may not have been saved correctly
The work may have already been submitted and accepted
Wrong file may have been submitted
A single experiment, project or essay may have been split up and submitted in different files, thus making each individual submission incomplete
I want to submit more work - how do I do this? Log in to the site using your username and password. In the "Member Home" area click on the option, under "Tools" that says "Extend your account by publishing your own coursework". From here simply follow the instructions given.
